David Canada
BOARD MEMBER
David Canada currently serves as the Sr. Manager, Merger & Acquisition Integration Strategy within Boeing Information Technology & Data Analytics. In this role he leverages relationships with corporate development, enterprise functions and IT to lead the strategy development in support of deal planning, due-diligence and integration for targeted M&A activity. Additionally he provides merger & acquisition (M&A) leadership through understanding of technical or capability gaps within an organization and who in the market can fill those gaps while leading the strategy development in support of deal planning, due-diligence and integration. Furthermore, he evaluates the technology landscape, determine how the acquisition improves the Boeing technology portfolio and determine how early planning and involvement improves the likelihood of a successful integration
David joined The Boeing Company in 2007 after working 3 years in the automotive industry. While at Boeing he has worked in a number of different roles including Chief of Staff to the Vice president of BDS IT Business Partners, Project Management, Program Management, Finance, Category Strategy & Sourcing, and Supplier Management. David has had the opportunity to be leader within with many different aspects of the Boeing business across different parts of the country.
David has obtained multiple degrees including a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical engineering from Howard University, both a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as Masters in Project Management.
David is actively involved in community service and serves on the Board of Directors for the following non-profit organizations: Step Afrika, Wearable Tech Ventures, The Life Enrichment Group, Positive Deposits and Whine & Cheese. David is also very passionate about STEM education and increasing the number of minorities in technology fields. He serves as an active corporate representative for the Black Engineer of the Year Awards as well as the National Society of Black Engineers.
